Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
Today we welcomed back out Grade 6/7-8 classes as well as a few more FDK students who continue their staggered entry. Thank-you to all families for your flexibility this school year as we transition in to school.
We have a few reminders to share to ensure the safety of all staff and students:
- Students need to arrive at school between 8:35-8:50. They will then enter the building using their entry/exit doors to help the flow of traffic. Students cannot be on the yard before 8:35.
- FDK Entry- parents must line up with their child on the orange dots and an educator will come get each child when it is safe to do so inside. Please wait, 2 metres apart, to ensure we align with public health guidelines.
- Pick up and drop off must be completed with physical distancing guidelines in mind. Please enter and exit the school grounds ensuring distancing from other families.
- If a parent needs to sign their child out, we have set up the sign out binder inside the office. We are not usually allowing parents inside the building, but we recognize that signing out needs to be completed. Please notify the school beforehand via an email or agenda so we can have students prepared to leave.
Parent Council Nominations
Attached is a parent council nomination form for our 2020/2021 council. Please note that executive members must have their child(ren) registered at our site. Our meetings will be held in the library with all Public Health and WCDSB guidelines being followed. Please do not bring children to these meetings.
Food and Friends At Home
Like many in Dufferin, Wellington and Guelph, the Children’s Foundation is working towards continuing our support of the most vulnerable in our community despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Families with children and youth supported by the Children’s Foundation through the Food & Friends Program will be eligible to submit a request for a Food & Friends at Home kit. This kit will provide one snack for each day of a two week period similar to what would be provided through a Food & Friends student nutrition program.
